Emergency

Call first. Then report.

If life, safety, or property is at risk: call immediately. ASF WhatsApp groups support coordination — they do not replace SAPS, TMPD, or EMS.

How to post on ASF

If you report in Main, keep it short and useful. This helps responders know what they’re walking into.

Include
  • Type: Security / Medical / Fire
  • Exact location: street + nearest intersection / landmark
  • What’s happening now: active / contained / suspects fleeing
  • Risks: weapons / injuries / fire / live cables
  • Vehicle info: plate + make/model/colour + direction
  • Your contact: if responders need to call you
Avoid
  • Rumours and forwarded voice notes
  • Graphic images/videos in public channels
  • Naming suspects without verification
  • Flooding the group with repeated messages
  • Sharing private info outside authorised channels
Rule: Call first. WhatsApp second.

Alpha contacts
